Another 500k price drop 11/11/11! The owner says sell... NOW!
This is truly a "turn-key" Expedition Ship that is crew-ready to take you and your guest in stabilized comfort and safety for long and short range cruising. Beauport, (her original and current name) has been lovingly maintained by her third owner, who has kept up a tradition for keeping her in top shape. She is fresh off a 3-month yard visit wherein Beauport received a full exterior paint, including bottom, hull sides, topsides... truly complete paintwork! Also, bonding system upgrades, bilges painted, and vessel audiogauge... just off the yard in January 2010. Her bilges have been scrubbed and are now receiving paint as we speak. Most of the pictures in this listing were taken January, 2010. Her toys are receiving new canvas all around, and the interior has several new upgrades as well just to spruce things up and keep her in top shape. She sports an excellent, professional and very economically-conscious crew to keep her in top shape. Combine this with a Four Season's Chef and you have the makings of a finely tuned vessel ready to go cruising. A little history Beauport... This go-anywhere expedition style ship was first converted for yacht-style cruising in 1993. Originally built for the Canadian Coast Guard in Quebec, Beauport was designed, constructed and classed for light ice breaking. She is a 170' Collingwood Expedition Ship, which spent her first 30 years operating year round in fresh water on the St. Lawrence Sea Way. Originally accommodating a crew of 34, the vessel was sold to a U.S. owner in 1993, at which time she was converted to a luxury yacht. There were a number of cabins removed to make way for guest accommodations, a large master cabin and a main salon. In 1999, Beauport was moved to Jacksonville, where she underwent a 6 month mechanical refit of all engines and operating systems wherein the owner spent more than 4 million dollars on the upgrades alone! In the spring of 2000 2 new John Deere 115 KW generators were installed as well as a back up 150 KW Isuzu and massive 8 Ton hydraulic deck Crane. She is tremendously efficient burning only 30 gallons per hour at cruise for both engines and one of her generators. This yacht/ship is a must see for anyone that is looking for a reasonably priced expedition vessel capable of world cruising. Owner will consider selling half of the yacht or will sell outright or consider trades including aircraft. Call today to discuss this ship's interesting history and her new possibilities!
This Expedition Ship has all the creature comforts of a Motor Yacht packed into a World Cruiser... Top condition with New Paint and Turnkey Mechanicals make MVBeauport a "Must-See"
Broker note... In January, I inspected Beauport in Ensenada, spending the night aboard and enjoying Chef Roberto's fine cooking. It is easy to imagine yourself cruising far off destinations while bringing all of the comforts you would expect in a fine hotel. She is easy to see by flying into San Diego and a quick drive to Ensenada. Her condition will not disappoint!
